Holden 202 Pushrod

Post by DNA »

Anyone got an old 202 they can pull a pushrod from??

I am happy to pay for it.

Incase your wondering, I snapped one and it pushed the rocker through the rocker cover.

Reminds me when I borrowed my Aunties HG, big block 161 engine, 3 on the tree.
I only had my P's for a short time, so as you can imagine I flogged that thing, you know the normal good clean out, Rev her till she valve bounces for extended periods of time..
Then all of a sudden she was running on 2 cylinders, My first thought was F$$k  , I drove it back just making it home and put the keys back on the Kitchen Hutch and began reading the Sport section of the paper. My Auntie took the car out for some reason and when she came back, she asked me what I had done to the car, I said nothing and her reply was it seems to be going better..................... :?

There was my first lesson in lifter bleed off

actuallly happened whilst I was towing a trailer to the tip. It may have been a lil overloaded for the old red to keep up with.
