side strip

does anyone have any experience with attaching the side strips on an EK. such as what aftermarket clips to use and methods of keeping the from leaking and rusting. i've even heard of filling the strips with silicon? any advise would be helpful.

i've heard silicone causes rust, if that's what you were thinking about attaching them with sikflex would be better a couple of dabs front rear and middle
don't think you can buy correct clips just ones that'll do
