Really looking good Trev. All that rubbing paid off.

Air cleaners look good, but aren't the carbs on backwards? Very nice looking Grey though! Might have to find time to duck over and have a squiz.

DR you've let the cat out of the bag re: trev's performance secret
ever heard the one about putting pistons in the wrong way round suposedly gives a performance benefit but shortens engine life :?

so if it doesn't go anygood you'll have to pull all yor front panels off and cut away the inner guards, cause "while cruising" nobody is gunna know what's under yor bonnet so you won't be cool

Could always start a new trend. Easier to mount and run fuel lines from the inner gaurd with 'em backwards....

I think Rex has been busy. Spotted the yellow beast go past two weekends in a row. Must be upto something, hasn't been out in a while.... 8)

Been doing a bit over the past couple of weeks :D
Getting the engine ready to put in the car.
Image
Dick came over to help on Friday night.
Image
Using a slide hammer to remove the manual spigot bush (a pain in the ass that my wife thought was quite amusing  )
Image
After stuffing around with the fitting up of 1 auto then worked out it was stuffed, gave up for the night  .
Took the auto and a spare one to an auto joint to swap the bell housings around (needed the 360 deg one) found a place that was open on Sat morning  , they did a great job and found out it would have had no reverse so they fixed that also :D , and only charged me $30  .

Back home to fit it up :D
Image
Stick it in.
Image
Find out the auto hits the floor so get rid of that  .
Image
Bolt it in and stick the carbies back on for a pic :D .
Image
Image
See how the front suspension came down, just have to drop the back to suit.
Image
Image
:D Trev 8) .

Looking good Trev (The car that is) you will be all grined up when you get to fire it up
I agree on spigot bushes pain in the arse
I used a 3 speed input shaft to hydrulic the one out of Lisa's waggon much easier especialy when the engin is still in th car
