Our friends EK, plus KC..both Wedding Shots :)

Post by lulu »

Some of you may remember when we did our first resto last year on our EK that our friend Ronnie B did the work.
Well this is Ron & Di's EK called George, named after Ron's Dad. 8)
Has 5 speed Celica gearbox, Balanced 186 motor and has been in the family since almost new.
Was fully resorted in 1989 and looks like it was done yesterday!

We love it and so does my Dad. He wants to buy it off Ron and I told him to stand in line  It's one veryyyy longggg line too..lol
Very Special (no pun intended) and sentimental car that's been well looked after and cherished for decades. Gotta love that!
This is the car that Hubby saw and said.."we have to get an ek, they are just so cool" something I've been telling him for years. Yes, I'm the classic car nut in the Marriage...hehe
So thanks to Ronnie, Di & of course George, we now have Casey! 8)

Ron does Weddings for friends and this was George all dressed up for one.

Plus this is our EK last weekend in her first Wedding for Hubbies mate. I'd like to put some pics of the Bride and Groom but haven't asked if it's ok, so will just show KC.
:P

Love George and my girl :P 8)
Will have to get a nice shot of both of them together one day too.

Hey Luke,
Yep, Red Beast is right :D
Love hearing George come down the street. Puts an instant grin on your face, not to mention the drool factor.

Thanks V8EK4us

They sure do make a great Wedding car. Not only because they are gorgeous but it's really easy to tie wedding ribbon on and plenty of room for the Bride's dress on the bench seat too.
It's the little things

Thanks everyone :D
It was exciting to use KC for a Wedding. Am hoping someone else will get Married soon and ask us to use KC.
It's almost been a year since we bought her. Time goes so fast. This Winter we'll begin part 2 of her resto (funds permitting  ) which will be good. It's down to the nitty gritty with this one. Will check out the rest of the car for rust, then repair & re-spray ect ect

Matt..Hi :)
Ronnie B made the console himself. Drew it up/designed it from scratch. I have a better shot of just the console. Will find it and add it for you.
There are a few posts on here from people showing their consoles. If you do a search for console or interior, I think they'll come up.
