Well i have gone and done it now..
Purchased a "Project" that should satisfy my needs to cut / grind / and generally play around with..
The story and a few pictures.
Plan is 307 Chev with powerglide 2 speed trans, Body basically stock but with shaved handles and locks, dressed up as FB.
Dont want a fast car, but want a good crusier with no fuss and that V8 burble.. plus always had a bit of a stiffy for the 307.. Plus max size in QLD is 308 so that fits in nicely.
But like all plans most likely will change as time / funds / wife dictate.

Anthony, I am impressed.
If you can bring that girl back to life, you have my total respect.
Not just a welder but a super welder.
Jack up the instrument panel and start building (Unless Richard removed it already)
The previous owner would probaby love to see what she ended up like. At one time she was a very pretty girl, and then she was parked under a tree.
IT's LIKE WATCHING DRUNK MONKEYS TRYING TO HUMP A FOOTBALL.

Dave, Colour isnt even on the radar yet.. But most likely will be 2 tone. Probably a period Holden colour too, there are some really nice colours in the early 60's Australian GM range.
But as Tim says thats a long way down the track.. this is going to be a slow build.. I am still at least 2 months from having a home for the car.
Have to build new shed first..
So its at a mates place currently..
