Fixing leaks.. bad fitting rubbers..

Post by bettyispsycho »

HELP!!

My FB is leaking like never before (what is with the summer rain?)

I have a major boot leak, alot of rain getting in (10cm deep)
The rubbers need re-fitting. They're good, new rarespares repros..
but not fitted properly.

where can I take her to get them fixed properly (and not too $$)?

Any help would be great!

First, park it in the garage  .
Can you have a go at fitting it yourself?
If not where are you located?

I would, but don't have a garage..
It's my daily driver so it's getting rained on alot!

Hrmm.. yeah! Maybe a flash light and hiding in the boot.
Whats the best thing to glue them down with?

I'm in Brunswick West.

Thanks,
Kylie

Hi Kylie, Trev is right, you need to get the car out of the weather, otherwise the car will deteriorate quite quickly.

Even if you find someone near by you can hire a garage from.

Love to see some pics of the car?

if you go hiding in the boot, just make sure someone will let you back out.
if you have enough room you can always get a portable garage like mines in for its rebuild. it works great, best money i've spent so far (apart from the initial purchase of the car) good luck with it.
