but just curious why you're going with the turbo red setup? are you going to make it EFI or keep it carby?

It's staying carby either a 175 CD or an SU (I have either to choose from), it will be very mild set up for between 6-9psi

And i spose the reason i'm going with it is just for fun :D

these kits can generate a little bit of extra go if set up correctly, my car wont be a daily driver (work wise as i use public transport to get to work otherwise the petrol & parking would kill me a week even driving an electric car, but will probably get driven short distances most days), plus i like to be different

There's a Red LJ overhere in WA, OVABOOST that was running an EFI version based on this setup and was producing massive horsepower! was in Street MAcgine many moons ago now, i think he now has some TT DOHC thing in it now.

I am considering buying a similar kit for the 186 in the fb and upping the boost to about 15psi. It will be a test to see how long a stock red will last, and a rather cheap way to have some fun at powercruise

What are you looking at buying?

I might be able to add some assistance...these were actually were for straight onto 202's so dont be surprises if you dont blow it up in a hurry!

hopefully have scored a nutserts gun next weekend and the tank will be finished (apart from the fuel flap and pipes, new sender etc...) and then continuing with the rest of the boot.

NoMAD if ya stuck, Searles Fasteners - behind Bunnings in Willetton hire the gun - $10 a day for memory.

Manage to get to Blackys and steal his, but i only had a couple of nutserts so have to get some more during the week to finish the job...

however filled all the rear trim holes and started work on some covers to get rid of the gap between the body an fuel tank, plan is to sand back flush and make them look as if there 'original' maybe 'nasco'

also removed the rear most lip and will weld shut & sand smooth, all this work in areas that aren't seen...why i have no idea, just makes me more crazy i guess :?:
