EK number 3 project

Post by Blacky »

Hi all , there has FINALLY been some progress on my loooooong term project EK 2 door.
Image
A panel guru in Perth has taken on the job of making the new door skins and quarters , he has used the top six inches or so of the rear door , the rest is new.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Yeah looks good, would love to do one myself. But are you going to take some height out of the roof??

Looks great blacky. I agree that it could use a bit of a roof chop but either way it is going to be one impressive machine when its finished. What sort of powerplant are you going to run?

We are playing around with roof height at the moment , will be running V8 Chev and a 5 speed .
TINA : you croweaters seem to have a hell of a lot of nicely modified FB/EKs over there ! Do you have any more pics and info on the car in the photo you posted ?

Sorry Blacky no other pics, no longer in the FB+EK car scene, all i can say is the guys nawe is Keith the car has maroon valour trim.
Personally i dont like the colour or wheels, but different strokes for different folks.
Why not just cut the roof off!
Windows can be expensive.

Hey Blacky,
You are a one dedicated dude! I keep looking at my project and wonder if I should hack into it, the roof that is. With the 2 door I am convinced it need 2 inches out of it to look right. I havent done any research on how to chop the roof (scared I might go ahead with it it) but I do remember a guy years ago did one to suit cutting the glass from the top. It looked right and the glass was heaps cheaper to cut than to make new! Anyway keep up the good work and post more pics.
Regards Greg
