has anyone got a fix for a leaky heater tap on a warmaride heater?
i dont want to fit a aftermarket unit if the one i have can be repaired.
perhaps you have an answer for me rosco?
Hey Bebop
Lapping paste may be the answer
Pull it apart, apply paste and lapp it in like valves in a head.
You will see by the wear marks where its not seating initially,
then keep going until it cleans up.
Cheers
Jeff
thanks jeff and tony for the advice. i called reidy today and he tells me you can buy repair kits from rare spares. im going there tommorrow and i will see how i go
well, i went to rares and got myself a repair kit. it consists of a flat seal for the top and a closing seal for inside the tap, took a while to dismantle and re-assemble and it works really well. if anyone needs a kit the part number is: RSP 335 the description is: KIT VALVE RANCO HEATER
