what? you guys must be on drugs
there was never any concept picture that i posted for 5 minutes and then realized it would take me a while to make and one of you could make it faster and steal my idea...
Hi J,
I mean no offense by this as I am a big fan of your car and I am obsessed by the colour lime green. I like alot of the other ideas you have done and are planning to do, and for a young fella I have alot of admiration for you. But man that mesh has got to go !!! To me it looks like something a hobo would do if there original grille was broken and had no money to replace it. It gives the car a I don't care about it look, almost like a patch up you have had to do on a long trip with the mentality that "yes I know it looks like crap but it has a purpose of keeping the bugs out of my radiator".
Mesh and grilles is best kept to ricers. Anybody else agree or am I on my own here ?
Mesh can work, it just depends on how it is done and what type. A nice piece of perforated mesh big enough to mount draw knobs would be just one example....
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
J NEVER EVER work under a car that is only supported by a jack - do yourself a favour and buy a set of GOOD axle stands - they will last you for years and may save your life !!!!!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Cashed up are you? Leather is seriously expensive, this bumps the labour too because the shape of the hides mean you spend a lot more time laying out the shapes to cut to get the most from the hide.
If you are doing it yourself and need advice drop me a PM.
Watch those grinder sparks on the carpet!
and.... .
The grille idea is good, but go with some SAAS expanded mesh, most larger auto stores have them. I'd also recommend getting down to Bunnings and checking out their cupboard handle/knob range, this looks a bit sparse but it did the job at the time
