Guys,
Absolutely nothing wrong with a chev 283!!!!!!!!!
My little girl pumps out 300 RWHP and believe me is enough to scare you.
Good fuel economy nice burble and a lot of fun wide open throttle especially in a light weight EK holden.

Regards Greg

when we started doing the ute we only wanted manifolds and DEFINATELY not pipes out the inner guards, and the holden V8 did that job where we couldn't get the chev close, i don't have a preferance just the holden V8 seemed easier

I had a 253 stroker in a HQ premier , It was awesome untill it died . 253's revs harder than 308 , and I think I read somewhere that a 253 block is slightly bigger than a 308 , not sure on that . I would have a 253 again no worries

So you dont have to put the pipes out through the inner guards with the 253, because i dont really want to if i end up going V8???

Also can you make your own chassis kit???
