Wazza Look at my avatar and it answers your question. I used a timber frame for the seat area and some foam and material from spotlight and some help from the good lady wife. Put a couple of stainless tubes underneath for legs and Bobs your uncle. Hope you didnt cut up a good one

Ive made a couple ..
Its slow going fgetting pics on here for me of late but they are on here somewhere that may come up with a search .
My way of doing them was to remove the floor to loose weight , weld in a grid style frame with two fixed legs on castors and two pivoting legs with castors so that it can be wheeled around when needed yet stable when you throw your weight backwards as you sit down .
neons look exelent under the Bbar and I put speakers in the side panels and a car stereo with a transformer mounted in the body .
I also keep the parcel shelf for the window surround bling but cut and flatten the shelf so it can be used .
The fuel cap area I tacked a flat sheet to the back and glued in a chrome holden lion from a commodore which blings it up a little more.
sorry for no pics ..

Forgot to add that the seating angle is pretty critical to comfort so measure the angle of back to base on your most comfotable seat.
I started with the backboard in position then locked the base into that ,then locked the sides into that .
cover with foam ,trim to desied shape with a electric carving knife ,and trim with a material that has a foam backing to iron out any wrinkles .
And my personal opinion is ,finish the seat back to the shape of the boot edge not up in the air ,it looks finished right.
Hope thats not too descriptive and IS something you can take onboard...

no butchering
the two rear ends that i have were taken from wrecks and not a clean shell butchered. i thought about buying a clean shell a long time ago but didnt want to cut up something in perfect condition. the chrome bits are jsut odds and ends that i have picked up from wreckers and ebay. so no need to fear of any cars being butchered for their behinds..............
