Hi J here are some pics of the glove box insert I got made up they might be some help if you are doing something similar I would recomend a compartment in the flat pannel for disks the only drawback is glove box open for remote use but I am working on a soution for that

Craig would it of been much easier and lighter to use colourbond, that way you would need to paint either.

Apart from the center where the two sections meet it isnt very thick and doesnt weigh much more than the standard insert colour bond would be ok to as long as the mounting face was rigid enough

gonna do them simple and cheap
macenite or whatever the backling is for original trims
and just cut holes for the handels and put black leather on it

it will look better when when the body goes grey and roof black

Nice colour choices, Bex's trim was black with flames in it if i remember correctly (i know they were black) check the for Sale sections theres pic's, so that might suit what your after.

I thought about doing Black Roof / GreyBody but opted for different grey options with a bit more colour on the interior (Red)!

i think il leave flames for a sled or a hot rod
im going for a "classy kustom" look

grey body, black metalflake roof, mexican blankets and the black door trims and headliner.

will look like a cool custom but the cops wont pick on it as much because it isnt flat and ratty lookn

also craig

if possible can you please give me measurements for the glovebox?
dont worry about it if you actually have to go and measure

but if you have them written down it just saves me ripping mine out

also, did you make it any deeper?

thanks!

Hey J
mate dont have any measurments but happy to measure in the next couple of ays if you like you best bet thugh if you are getting a sheet metalworker to make it up are to give him your old glove box to copy better chance of it slotting straight in I think it is a little deeper than stock (not much) but remember to leave enough room for the wiper mechanicals behind and enough room in front of the stereo for the MP3 and acc. cable with the glove box closed
Cheers
