Had a look through the build and enjoyed it. Coming from a current steering column engineering journey, it seems that the steering column doesn't look compliant with ADRs. Looks like it has the original u-bolt setup on the steering wheel end and no breakaways. It would not collapse properly in a crash if that is the case and would not pass engineering (in NSW anyway.) Maybe worth looking at

A good engineer wont pass it with the ubolt set up.

Australian laws are weird - when we were in Wrongway Rogers shed discussing his EK sedan build he mentioned to the engineer he was thinking of using a VL column so it was collapsible the engineer asked him why do you want a collapsible column ? Apparently not a requirement in SA

Not required for a stock 202 in SA. Different story for V6/8.

in NSW they just move the goal posts as it suits them, never used to need dual circuit or collapsible column for any of the holden straight 6s and could rego 138 red or 149 with no engineering now you need engineers for all and same requirements across the board no matter what size, though i have found an engineer that apparently isn't quite so hard on 138s and 149s and some times can still sneak a 138 or 149 through just with a blue slip some times bigger as due to their age and rego people being younger and younger as long as it doesn't look like a late model engine with fuel injection and such they can also sneak through
