wiper bezels with washer pipe

Post by Jolls »

Hi Team,

I am progressing an FC ute build and have hit a small hump. I have ae electric conversion done, I have purchased a washer system similar to the old bag version and I have a set of washer jets. The bit I don't have is the bezels with pipes for the washer line. I know they are like unicorns, but, if anyone has a set they are willing to part with I am all ears (and beer tokens unless there is something I have that would be suitable as a trade).

I’m not sure Craig, but I believe that the FE FC bezels are somehow not interchangeable with FB EK ones. I know this seems unlikely, given GMH parts interchangeability and identical appearance. Someone may be able to confirm or refute….

Thanks, I will do a bit more digging. I expect that FC had them as well. I am looking into an FC electric wiper switch with an electric push button for the washer. Works off a switched earth

From memory, the FE/FC ones are shorter but do fit. Some info on p18 of the Guide:

Hi Harv,

Thansk that guide is gold. I think I still need to find som parts to make it all come together. I have some jets but now need to come up with something akin to the rover system to make the correct angle. I do have a set of bezels on the ute - must be EK as they don't ahve any water inlet or grub screws.

Appreciate the guide. I have downloaded it and added it to my growing collection of your work. You are a true legend - thanks again.

I have swapped my EK Wiper Bezels (Pivot Shaft Spacers) for FC ones. The pair I have are both passenger side versions and one has the brass tube missing. I'm sure I can refit a brass tube and make it usable, bit would prefer to get hold of a driver's side one if there is one out there.

Flicked you a response over on the FE/FC forum. I think the spacers are ambidextrous.

... then again, mebbe left and right-hand versions were fitted to the EK Premier prototype
(sorry.... old joke).
