Tried a couple of thermostats with the same result. Neither are drilled. Gauge sender is in the lower thermostat housing. I agree with your logic Harv. I blank off 1/3 of the radiator through winter, which helps. Idea I got from what they do on big rigs in the US.

I had a look at one of these air con kits on Ebay, they seem value for money some even come with the hoses already made up so they can be fitted up and all they need is gassing issue I can see is already been stated is Amperage, the one I looked at stated 33-66 amps, the standard alternator on a V6 (my preferred engine ) is 85 Amps and I can't seem to find a bigger Alternator.

Hi Neil, 120A police special, on eBay, or for double the price & a lot more amps at idle if you think it's needed, check out Mechman 170A. Ecotec must be some form of Chevy style mount.
A place for everything and everything in it's place, just can't remember where that place is.
Hi Mate thanks for pointing me at the 120A alt but not sure if it will fit, the engine in Frank is a highbred Buick V6, I think I have an old one at home that looks like the one in the picture so I will check it out, again thanks.
