Thanks Melly, I don’t get as much time on it as I would like but think I’m making headway, plan is to try to get repairs that I can do finished up by say Jan/Feb so I can change the roof and a fair amount of the firewall mainly the top part cause the plenum and some of the dash is rotted out.
Hey Blacky not sure what you are meaning re “take out the coil overs and jack it up into the wheel tub” mate, Gardeners instructions say to lower it onto the ground and adjust the shocks to, I think 200mm (I’ll have to check the paperwork) so I’m going to do this today.
The tyres are 50 profile so I could go to 60 or 65 to help fill the wheel arch if this is what you are meaning or maybe you are meaning clearance mate???

So after fixing other vehicles on the weekend I lowered the wagon down to put some weight on the rear end.
Measured the coilover and they are at 280 mm, instruction say to set them at 260 mm, so not having dealt with coilovers before I am assuming that I take pressure off of the spring to allow the shock to compress more assistance from the brains trust please.

Sooooo rear end out again
Finished off the weld in of the plate that gives clearance for the suspension cradle.
You can see in this photo how much of the floor area I have replaced, sometimes wonder if I should have cut the whole thing out and started again, wish somebody would make full floor pans like they do in the states

Had a good chat with old mate Keith just before Xmas we came up with a plan
I have basically got all the seatbelt doubler plates fitted, still need to fit 4 more in the back ( ran out of plates bugger)
Have one or two small repairs to do that I’ve spotted and then Kieth is going to come to my place and we are going to change the roof

Went for a visit to EK Mart on Friday, picked up the last of the roof trim that I had been chasing and picked up a serviceable sedan fuel tank.
Plan is to use the tank, fit an in tank pump similar to what Blacky did with the “Rattler”, due to the size of the independent rear the tank area is reduced so I’m going to turn the tank sideways.
Had been given a wagon/ute/panelvan fuel tank surround by Wrongway Roger so picked up the angle grinder and converted it So this is how it will lay in the Reverend it will need some trimming and a bit added on one side I think. Also have fitted most of the seatbelt plates, 14 so far , and still 4 to put in, the rear inertia reels and C pillar points.

Good progress on the tank. Something I only realised recently is that sedan tanks originally sit on top of the floor panel, whereas ute, wagon and van bolt up from under the car. I think I’ve got that the right way around.

Following in the Big footsteps of Blacky and the Rattler I'm going to do the same mod on the Reverends fuel tank.
The Rattler Tank The installation kit arrived today from EFI Hardware to fit the VE in tank pump to the sedan tank that I have, as always I ordered the pump and installation kit at the same time, the pump from Evilbay and they say they can't deliver until the 16th

If I had my time again Neil I would mount the pump towards the rear of the tank rather than the front - we did fit baffles to limit fuel surge but I think it would have been better as far back as it can go
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I suffered lots of fuel surge with a normal tank, ironically not from foward or rear movement but from cornering.
The first nats I went to, actually the non nats I had all sorts of problems. If the tank got under half way then the fuel slosh uncovering the pick up and create a no fuel situation and stalled the car. With a carbied car you have this happen a lot but because the fuel bowls have some reserve it lets the fuel pump recover and you never notice it.
Seriously I would consider a custom made tank or at least a surge tank with 2 pumps or you will hate it stalling.

If you look at the photo of the rattlers tank for orientation, the filler neck on my tank will be to the front passenger side and was thinking of fitting the pump in the back behind the middle of the X pressing in the top of the tank.
