Hi,

I've been searching for fibreglass front guard's for our EK and I came across this thread.

Just wondering if you still had the moulds and how much it cost to have somebody make the guard's for you?

Thanks

I still have the moulds. I tried getting a local fibreglass mob to quote, but they never got back to me.

Cheers.

I’d be down for a set of guards and a bonnet if you do ever get anything happening

Just checking in to see if there was any progress on making some front guards.

Thanks

No, unfortunately no progress. I still have the moulds, but have not had the time to go chasing local workshops to find one interested in laying the glass.

Cheers,

Harv, have you thought about a glass reproduction ute / van tail gate?....Considering it would suit fe,fc,fb,ek ute & van I'm guessing it would sell well?

The grand scheme is to get the FB into shape, though progress is slow with various other projects. It will be registered as a blown, injected grey... just. It will be a pig to drive, but will only go from home to Eastern Creek (and the odd run to the shops for entertainment). Weight will be the issue with this one, so aiming for fibreglass guards, bonnet, boot and front doors. These are all I have the moulds for.

I was lucky to stumble across the moulds by accident. Rod Andrew's Race Cars made them, and had them in storage for years. My mental picture is to (eventually) find a fibreglass mob, ask here if anyone wants some, then get a set made. Not really aiming to get into fibreglass panel supply, more just a coincidence of my need to slim down the FB.

Cheers,
