Gday ratbox
I only had a good look at the gaurds & engine/trans before the purchase,
because thats all I am after, plus some fiddley bits.

I did peel the carpet back for a look at the floor in the front foot well,
and it looks real solid.
the boot is full of parts, and I haven't seen the floor in there yet.
The sills would need some repair.
The doors are decent.

I'm going to sit on it for a while, until I know what I'll need from it.
I know of four people already, who are after doors, & the club
just recieved an E-mail from someone wanting a boot lid & bonnet.

Until I empty the car out, I wont know just how good or bad it really is.
I dont plan on doing anything till after christmas anyway.

It also came with rego papers & plates, so it is easily registerable.

Cheers
Jeff

Gday Dave
Back into it this weekend
I'm going to strip the donor car,(Thanks EK61 & Captianbill) of its engine/trans, column, and bits & peices.
I caught up with Len the other day, and we'll finish the roof soon :D
In the meantime I got some disc brakes to fit,(Thanks Munro)
And a LC Torana diff to fit,(Thanks Stinky)

(That shows what a great forum this is 8) )

I took a christmas break from the van, had holidays,
and did stuff with the family for a while,
and you know how hot its been

I'll get the ball rolling

A bit more progress today.
I fitted up the HR disc brakes & spindles I bought from Munro.(removed HQdisc & spindles)
While I was in there, I also fitted low springs left over from the FB when it was built up.
This makes it early stud pattern all round, so I went to fit the chromies to the front,
You guessed it, they dont clear the upper ball joint :x
The wheels fitted in the pic are HR rims painted up for the FB.
Two steps forward, one step back

The best news though, is that I got the van registered :D :D :D :D
I went last week to the rego office to put historic plates on the FB.
That has turned into a saga
But the fellow behiend the counter was extremly helpful, so
while he was being so helpful, I showed him the 39yr old renewal papers
for the van, from the last time it was registered, and asked him if he would register it for me?
No problem Sir  he replied.
I couldn't fill out the paperwork quick enough before he changed his mind.
Thats it!!!! No inspection......Done 8) 8) 8)

Gday Ratbox
Its not fitted with dropped spindles, just a standard HR disc brake front with short springs.
