I was going to vote for the scuttle panel, but wasn't sure if the bonnet would clear it when opened

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Well that tips the scale a bit. Getting thin on top and all you know….
But one of the things about these cars is that you don’t have to take off your Akubra brumby and hang it on the tacho.

Falfa kept his Stetson on in the chebby....
If you top that tacho out at the end of the scale Mr Black you may need a set of large, irregularly shaped welsh plugs

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Tacho doesn’t seem to work so sent it off to VDO on the Torana forum, who offered to check it out. Just doubled the investment with $10 postage.
Wired up trailer socket on a short lead inside the spare wheel door, running forward with 5-core wire to connect under the dash.
Tested with the multimeter and all working.
Not so for the tail and indicator lights on the car though. The tail light lead had fallen off when I wired the 5 core to the light switch, so out comes the dash again. Sorted that but still some issues which were mainly sorted by providing separate earths for the tail light bodies.
Passenger front indicator will not work, despite getting a 12V flashing signal on the globe terminal, and proving good globes by swapping sides. I wondered if the terminal was not contacting due to being lower than the park light one, so I tried filing down the parker terminal on a couple of globes, to no avail. In the end I gave up. The indicator bucket will have to come out and get a refurbished socket.
Went to fit my fancy new tow bar tongue, but realised the hole is too small to fit the shank on the ball that came to hand. I will see if I can find one tomorrow. Either that or a bigger drill bit! I need to have the trailer hitched up to pull parts across town Saturday morning, as the club is going on a run to Nuriootpa Saturday and I’m selling at Gawler Mega Swap on Sunday. Buggered if I’m driving out that side of town two days in a weekend, so staying at VP Richards place Saturday night.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Ute did some work over the weekend towing the trailer to Gawler Swap and home again.
We did obtain a minor battle scar.
Dropped a door I sold on it. She is a work horse, getting used and appreciated.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Patience has eventually paid off and my conversion column has arrived. I'm still pinching myself that it has finally happened. The timing is fair, as we just had the run to Nuriootpa and the weather is still crap. Next months run is to watch the bay to birdwood, which I can skip. Should be ready in time for November run down here to McLaren Vale I hope.
