The missus and i did road trip over May june ish and camped for 5 weeks straight in a roof top tent on the Hilux. Perth up through Newman , Broome up the Gibb river road to kununurra down to halls creek (hells crack) through the tanami desert road dirt amd corrugations to Alicesprings then across the great central desert. Seen plenty of great sights, swim holes, caves , bugle bungles ,crocs, hikes, deck chairs and beers camels ,donkeys ,dingos ,fishing and catching barramundi, great pubs over 10 blocks of cans, 8500km ,1 rear tyre blow out ,1/3 unsealed roads.Seen plenty off busted falcons and kingswoods wrecked caravans but not many old earlier holdens out there but when there was i stopped each time with excitement. The 130kmph limit in the NT was nice.
Spotto an ek and HD somwhere between kaltukatjara and Warburton
I like the floor shift mod in the ek tunnel probably done with an axe.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Great holiday. You've done well to get the missus on board for that. Pity about the tyre.

What about the green FB Standard between Warburton and Laverton ? I got lots of bits off that one a few years back
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Its not to hard we both love getting out of the city as much as possible. My rule of thumb less traffic lights in a place the better the place is.
