Added 1 litre of oil. Showing some carbon now. Need to find a good spot to change it.

Welcome to change it at my place on the way through.

Clay,
When you swing by Harv’s joint maybe you can see if he has a set of twin carbs or some other go fast gear for the trip home?
Looking good!

Lets see.... red motor..... red motor.... there must be something here somewhere. Maybe under this pile of busted grey motor bits.
Clutched Type 75 Norman?
McGee injection?
Vertex magneto?
Long-runner manifold and race-prepped 350 Holley?
Cast headers?

or perhaps the gentleman would prefer something more subtle:

Overflowing with bits already thanks guys. Got a set of hr commercial rear brakes. Under the car found the driver front leaf hanger to sill tie has rusted from the inside and travel has loosened up the scale, with holes showing. Easy enough repair when I get home.

Hi parts guru. See if you can bring a set of rear door bottom stainless trims for me when you come to visit😀. The two I've got are too damaged to put on. I've got feelers out in the meantime. Happy travels today😀.

Previous owner Kym told me the ute came from an area between Walpeup and Pinnaroo on the Mallee Highway. May still be able to pass through there on the way home with luck.
