Hi Clay
I reckon I have one your welcome to borrow in the meantime if that helps.

Thanks Stephen, very generous of you. I managed to jam it back together and now working fine. Fuel gauge light working good. Idiot light appears to be working but doesn’t seem to be illuminating the cluster. Seem to recall someone having a similar issue on the FE FC site.

Car drives like a dream now. Bit of clutch dump got the axle hopping even with the tall diff. Nothing broke.

Gearbox leaking few drops per day at all orifices including those I replaced seals in.

Just the door handle and paint rear rims to do. Maybe adjust headlights. Coffee and chrome at McLaren Vale Sunday, then got 1/2 tonne firewood to pick up at Seaford.

Good ol Aussie export gloss enamel (not for automotive use, but sold exclusively at super cheap).

I, Pancho Villa, was a loyal man that destiny brought the world to fight for the good of the poor and to drive the FB ute to the point of losing traction. I will never betray nor forget my duty by driving the Toyota or &*#@ cars.

No herbs, just a bit of Bungendore Spanish. So glad you are back on the road again. En la carretera de nuevo.

Thanks Brett. Meant Harv on the herbs, not you.

Based on my tyre diff combo and assuming the rolling diameter to be aspect ratio percentage of tyre width, engine will be doing 5000rpm in second gear at 123kmh, or 61mph on my speedometer. The old motor was limited by valve bounce at 55mph on the speedo, so sounds about right. Figure I should wind it out some time soon and make sure the pistons get thrown right up to their limit and wear the bores evenly. Speed in top at 5000rpm calculates at 195kph. Wilcannia to Cobar will get to try that.

Clay
Ute looks tough with the wide rims, ride height and the side pipe, great job 👍
