We would have Tim but Bourke was only spot we could get rooms. Hard to plan a route under the circumstances. Talking to Tasmanian bloke who travelled up through regional Victoria. Believes they will let him in to QLD this arvo or tomorrow. Driving Nissan Leaf.

Cold and windy in the main street this morning. Couldn't find the Leaf but this was out the front. Bit sad. Triumph obviously from the rear reminded me of Herald. A Vitesse?ImageImageImage

Thanks Brett. It is shaping up ok. Now the car has been rodded I may have to make a decent one myself. Ever really been happy with it. Wire gauge is small, some fittings are crap and too short at the dash so you can’t use factory tab on speedo. Will be a joy to have such luxuries as wipers, indicators, idiot lights and key start for the last 350km too Toowoomba woomba.

As we have discussed, I think the routing of all the circuits via one un-fused feed wire is not without risk, particularly since all the wires are bundled together as well. On my next one I will definitely split the ignition circuit from a main fused feed to the accessories and lights, and run them in a separate bundle.

Crikey mate, that’s a fair mess. Good luck with it, you’re nearly here!

Looking foreword to your thread on this. Maybe pm Rosco and see if it rattles his cage. He would be able to offer considered advice no doubt. Recall him talking about other wiring mods such as relays for halogen lights.

Always thought a custom loom would be way to go but I got lazy, and I wanted factory colour wires.

Some stats
Done 1587km/182.69L
11.5L/100km
24.5mpg
8 )
8 )

Distance based on google maps as speedo only roughly calibrated, in reality there are probably more km than this so pretty happy with the figure, considering I’m carrying some weight and varying my speed. Mainly 98 octane with couple fills each of 91 and 95.

The frog is thirstier than Rog and mine. Quick off the Mark though!
