Re: Concessional licencing for modified vehicles
That's great news !
Here in NSW we have conditional rego that allows us 60 days where ever we want to go.
I run the scheme through our race car club. We chose not to do Historic rego because the cars need to be original without any modification and can only be driven with club events and for repairs or rego.
With the conditional scheme your car can be original or modified as long as it meets the RMS guidelines and or engineered. The government also like it because the it makes the data look good in regards to younger safer vehicles on our road. I believe they don't count the conditional rego in their calculations. Win Win.

So many cars so little time!
Re: Concessional licencing for modified vehicles
We have had conditional licencing for STOCK vehicles for years, only mods allowed are radials and seat belts , plus " period accessories " which doesnt include twin carbs , headers etc as they are performance enhancing - you cant even run disc brakes
This is for modified vehicles over 30 years old

Yeh Blacky makes it a bit easier for me to keep the FC as well if the Boss it not so worried about the cost of having them on full rego all the time for the amount of driving they do.

Re: Concessional licencing for modified vehicles
I don't think 30 days would quite be enough around 60 would be nice and it would cover each weekend of the year for cruising.
The price of 1 full rego I would be better off with two concessional licenced vehicle for the amount I drive when home.
I best hurry up my search for a hd or hr ute.
