Now the board is off the wagon and Clay has restored the board I got from Thommo, I'm thinking I may clean up the body and seal the paint with a matt finish clear coat.
I will only remove the chrome side strips, bonnet bird and tape the rest.
Any suggestion on what I should use.
Cheers,
Roger

There is a right way and a wrong way and then there is my way which is usually the long way.
Re: Roger’s crusty EK wagon
My 2c worth. Scrub it with floor prep and scotchbrite. Ranex or deoxedine any exposed metal and scrub those bits again. Rinse and wax and grease on and off. Hit with three coats of clear acrylic with flattened added. Job done. Cheap and cheerful.

Re: Roger’s crusty EK wagon
Thanks Clay for your detailed solution. I have used 1200 wet and dry to clean and smooth the paint before.
A couple of coats of a matt clear to seal. Just need the time and some warm weather.
Think melamine sponges could be the solution as I like simple.
Yes I have seen the advise on mounting number plates and slim line suits the bumpers.
Keep you posted as I go.

Roger
