Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Thinks.....
Wonder if a white wheel would look out of place in a ute. After all I’ve got scratch plates going on it.

Where the webbing loops through the attaching fitting it touches the b pillar as it curves slightly inward. So I "engineered a slight bend in the fitting.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
There's something wrong with that steering box. The adjuster nut slots are supposed to be flogged out where someone has turned the nut with a hammer and drift, hoping to fix sloppy steering. Yours are way too neat. Send it to me and I'll burr them over for you

Jolly joker. It’s had a complete dulux overhaul. Should be nizeantite, but still need to replace the inner tie rod ends with a pair that don’t foul on lock.

I used a thick washer to space it away fron the pillar, either way will work.Errol62 wrote: Sun Jun 07, 2020 10:17 am Where the webbing loops through the attaching fitting it touches the b pillar as it curves slightly inward. So I "engineered a slight bend in the fitting.

I might still use a washer Greg.
Gee some fiddly stuff going on now. Dropping tiny nuts and washers in irretrievable crevices trying to fit the dash speaker. Couldn’t use tappers as the holes were flogged out. Should have closed them up before paint, yes that one again.
Column went in nicely but the little firewall plates and o seal are a pain. Those seals don’t seal very well. May have to add some mastic. Photos after lunch.

Rares Billy. Worked out fine Bill and doubt they were much better from factory.
Tank went in with not too much drama. 165-75-13 on 4 1/2" rim is snug.
Last picture is all anyone will see.
