Good on you Stephen and John. Only thing better than that green bogan beer is the red gentleman’s ale. It’s even good with spaghetti Stephen. Not sure how this affects my chances of making Toowoomba.

The only major bit I hadn't removed from the car was the steering column. Well bugger it, Gledgend shamed me in to painting the engine bay and also I decided to give the interior a quick rub and squirt. So pulled it out. Good opportunity to revisit my indicator wiring instal. The care came sans indicators, which were an option for non special FBs. One of the first things I did was replace the jury rigged setup in the car with parts from an EK column. Yes I'm still administering anti immune drugs to the loom to prevent it from rejecting the car, boom boom.

Took out the glove box lid, ashtray etc. The pedal box and accelerator are definitely staying. And yes I have the shims Rosco.

I guess I'll pull out the EK wiper shafts and actuator arms so I don't have to mask them. I don't know.

Bit sad my GVM placard didn't stand up too well to the gurney.

Clint, indicators were standard on FB specials and optional on the rest. The guvvermint mandated indicators on all vehicles about 1964 I think. By which time they had already become standard fitment on all new Holden, possibly from EK.

Wow that is terrible , so did standard fb sedans with out the blinkers have the wiring to the rear lights , did you just have to add gloves and blinker stalk

The rear loom includes the pink and violet wires for rear flashers Clint. No light and dark blue front indicator wires. You need rear sockets and different front sockets I think. If you look back in my thread a year ago it's there somewhere.

Pull the GVM label off and replace it - there are new ones floating about and looks like your rivets have been played with at some stage - at least that way you know behind the tags lurks no crusty stuff

Both tags have not been off the car but appear go have the rivet holes filled with solder. I'm not really inclined to tamper with them. After all I'm just doing a quick tidy up, hem hem...

Masked off bits painted with the elcheapo enamel l, and the Bundy tubes, tag an d placard. Shell is ready for primer surfacer filler.

Bungs in outrigger holes noted..... along with HR draglink.
Engine mounts appear to be in the right spot.
