EK Front end rebuild

Post by FJWALLY »

Anyone Interested in building me an EK front end for the ute?

The cross member and suspension basically.

The one I have in it now is a bit twisted so must of had some big bumps on the farm so what I'm after is a really good replacement I can swap in

Want it to be pretty good including blasted or stripped - no rust - painted Chassis black Satin - Complete to brake backing plates - Springs I have already.

I haven't got any parts so they would need to be sourced.

Ive got rubbers.

Just dont have time to do this myself but happy to pay someone to do a good job.
Rob 0431163263 or robert@pussyfootsocks.com

I'm in Melb but can arrange freight once complete if it's on a pallet.

Rob, I have a good crossmember here you can have , surely you could reuse all your wishbones and steering gear ???
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hi Blacky - yeah the rest of it seams pretty good but the frame is all twisted which is really odd as no evidence of a hit on car itself - might of rammed a log or rock underneath to bend it like that.

Happy to pay mate - whats the easiest way to get it over east?

Seriously though, the thing goes doesn't it.
Just pick up an old front end locally and take your time over it.

Black if you think it's a good one worth doing up That would be fantastic.

I want to get it blasted and painted then can build it up as I go.

Lol - I'm too young to retire just yet - or should I say not rich enough to retire yet.

Life gets in the way most times but I am tinkering with small bits and pieces in the man cave and driving it around locally to get some k's into it - it takes so long to iron out all the little things that pop up - some you just need go back to the drawing board and start over - hence the front end - we didn't really notice it until trying to fit it back in - was a bitch to get the last bolt into the K frame and the front is twisted up as well so does not sit well in the rubber - should be easy enough to swap a replacement in without pulling motor etc

Hi Rob. Did you try Damien at Warburton Early Holden Spares (0410639656) He would most likely have a complete front end. i find his prices quite reasonable. Cheers, Fraze

Hey Blacky - thanks for the offer but Ive found a complete one nearby that has everything in good nick so should be an easier rebuild - then I can just swap them over in quick time - hopefully it scrubs up nice with a Soda Blast and coat of Chassis black
