Under Bonnet Colour

Post by EK283 »

Morning Guru's,

A question in relation to original under bonnet colours.

I have seen the same colour as the outside of the car and some in clinker grey the same as the engine bay.

What is correct or did they in fact vary from state to state when made ?

Thanks Greg

All I have seen were body colour Greg. Hydramatic had sound proofing horsehair fire bomb but still body colour. Adelaide cars mainly but also Sydney and Melbourne.

I think all bonnets were painted body colour - firewalls varied according to where the car was assembled but AFAIK all bonnets were painted body colour
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
