Thanks Neil. I think I have a Ute body lined up about 5 hours away from me that will get me sorted.

Pretty rugged I think- I've only seen a picture or two and it was sourced by current owner as a parts car. I'm currently thinking that my ute is going to be the best bod- its just the rear end that's rubbish.
I'll be depending on you Clay for some pictures of what the spare wheel well should look like. Im going to take a Bex and lay down- this is the 2020 project...

Re: Project 2.
I feel for both of you blokes! I get a bit of PTSD seeing this, flashbacks to welding the rear end of my rustbucket together... sheesh. At least Clay has documented his excavation well. Best of luck to ya Brett!Brett027 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 5:14 pm Pretty rugged I think- I've only seen a picture or two and it was sourced by current owner as a parts car. Re: Project 2.
I’ll be able to supply photos and measurements when you get around to focusing on this Brett. The van is identical and complete so a good model and it will be a while before I get that off it’s rotisserie.

Robert Hardman posted this image on Facebook. Something to aim for. It's a beautiful thing.

Re: Project 2.
Cheer Brett - I got very lucky with my ute - it had no more than a few spots of rust - so if your after measurements or want to take a look at mine in bayswater area Melbourne your more than welcome - it has stayed 100% original body work - no mods.
You will find me lost somewhere!

Some detail and measures of this section would be very helpful. I am going to have to make up that reinforcing bar and sheet metal around it.

Yeah I know. I guess its important time to gather bits of info and parts/ pieces in preparation. I gave the ute a pat this morning but am now back in the shed working on the sedan. EKMart has come up with some much appreciated critical rust repair floor pieces that Im itching to install in the sedan as soon as I get them.
I'm so grateful I'm retired, otherwise I don't know how I'd focus on paid work with these cars in the background. It makes me appreciate the enthusiasts that have to juggle a full life and fit the cars in where they can. It must be extremely difficult and yet they produce amazing cars. Awesome.
