I did see that Blacky but my tank isn't standed the gauge goes in the side of the tank and I didn't know if ute or wagon did it is always best to get the knowledge on here . I would rather give my money to someone on here.

All the FB/EK models (ute, sedan, wagon and van) have the sender going into the top of the tank. Might have to post a picture of your tank/sender Billy, as it sounds like it is out of something weird.BILLY BLACKARROW wrote: Wed Jun 19, 2019 9:17 am I did see that Blacky but my tank isn't standed the gauge goes in the side of the tank and I didn't know if ute or wagon did it is always best to get the knowledge on here .

The arms on the ute and van ones are longer as the tank is not as deep. Easily modified/adjusted by bending the arm. Sometimes the cork float falls off and I have seen them saturated with fuel so that they don’t float anymore. That’s Bout all that goes wrong usually.

Here’s a pic showing the difference, Billy. Wagons, Yoots and Panno’s have a shallower tank than sedans. FE to EK are the same.BILLY BLACKARROW wrote:...,What is the difference between ute/wagon and sedan.

just ordered a sedan sender as I broke nut off connection I wasn't sure it worked anyway-- buy new no problems then
Now I need to know how to test the dash fuel gauge when it is out of the car // Any help there please

You can check the “Fuel Gauge” thread out Billy. It’s a bit lengthy but should have what you’re looking forBILLY BLACKARROW wrote:

Good work John
So if the fuel tank on the wagons, yoots, vans are shallower than sedans does that mean they hold less fuel or was the tank made bigger in width and/ or depth to compensate?

Re: fuel gauge sender unit fb ek
Pretty sure they all hold a massive 9 1/2 gallons. They are flatter and wider due to the spare being stored on top. Also has implications for routing of the exhaust as I found when I tried to fit my sedan exhaust to the ute.
