Bumper bar bolts

Post by fraze »

Looking for a source for the chrome headed coach bolts for a ute rear bumperette - 2 3/8" long Bumper to body with a rubber buffer sandwiched in between. I would have thought Rare Spares would have these but a search of their catalogue doesn't turn them up. Any Clues????? Thanks, Fraze

Fraze,

Buy a steel coach-head bolt in the right length and take it down to your local chrome-plating outfit. They'll polish the head and chrome the bolt.
And for the rubber, either a Bunnings black door stop or HK-T-G shock absorber rubbers will do the trick.

What jay said that’s my plan on the bolts. With the rubber you could possibly use a door stop as a billet and improve the shape in a lathe. Worth a play with?
