Started patching passenger floor.
There was a lot of chasing blow outs as the whole thing is fairly pitted. Doesn’t look too pretty but will clean up nice. Plenty of penetration at least.

Filled up some reasonable size holes in the no 1 body member with the mig.
Ran out of gas so I finally got around to pulling the windscreens out. Just marinating the screws now so I can pull off the plenum cover. Where does it end?

Rob, I know! The screens were always coming out, and the headlining. Thinking I’ll put a new one in. The interior will be done as the dash paint is good original.

thats why i wanted a firewall cut. but from what ive seen others do is cut the lower bit a couple of inches short then the top bit so it not a straight through cut and there is more strength in the join.
might pay to have the blaster run some sand through it to clean out then get some rust converter down there to stop it going further and let you really see whats worth keeping or hunt around for a complete decent one ?
Definitely keeping the original front Wally. It is not too bad, best of three I have. I will be giving it a good clean out with the gurney, then a few minor repairs.
Cheers

Looks like a fairly straight forward repair there mate but you definitely need to make sure all the legs are cleaned out mate.
Your lucky you have 3 to choose from I've been trying to come up with even one that is half decent to repair looks like I'm going to have to try to make one out of bits and pieces of 2 that I have.
Anyway you are really knocking over some of the important stuff mate and at least you will know that the jobs won't have to be done again at least while you have it
