My FB
This is my latest project. It has been off the road since the late 70"s. The grey motor runs as sweet as a nut, and I plan to do new brakes and clutch, a good clean-up , a couple of small rust repairs, new set of 14" whitewalls and then , hit the road. I have had later Holdens
(EH-HJ) and early Chevs which ran a fatter version of the grey motor (216 c.i.), and had always liked the styling of these but never really planned on getting one, this one happened along at the right time (I had a little bit of room left under the carport!).I have been getting some good info from this site and hope to mine it for more.

Can you still get those super size suction caps? Wonder what they are rated to hold?

Should be able to get something close from Fitch the Rubber Man. I reckon I will only get 2 longboards on there. The roofracks have a couple of 3/8" threaded rods holding them to the gutter, they should be rated close to half a ton!
