I like the look of your ute as it is looks very clean, what is the back story mate.

I have done an FC Sedan V6 conversion and am doing the same to my FB/EK ute so if there is anything I can help you with just ask as I'm many others on here can assist as well.

Make sure you put up plenty of pics mate.

The old girl has a 202 red and 5 speed toyota box in it. The photo is from about two years ago it needs a lot of rust cutting out. Living in Darwin i wont A/C as one of the main things.

there is a very nice gold EK on the fourm that i have been look at for a few years now and he has pleanty of good idears and grate photos of his build.

You could try run a blue motor ac bracket and set up if thats all your after mechanically

Started work on the ute today. The last owner must have brought bog in 20kg tubs.
Passages door. Nearly 1/2 inch thick in places.

I found a similar thing on my ute body behind the B pillar in the ute area, I was sitting one day looking at the area and just thought it didn't look right so I got an old screw driver and gave it a tap and it was just full of bog oh well at least now I know I have to replace the bit.

As for air con there have been quite few that have done the business there is a really nice V8 FC ute on the FE/FC forum that has air con.
I am still trying to install aircon on my V6 FC sedan and because my car was finished and I then decided to do the install I am using an old school style under dash unit they are pretty cheap on Ebay and I have made my own compressor mount so that I can mount the compressor down low on the passenger side similar to where they are originally.

I use the Series 2 V6 engine out of the VP VR and the compressor used to be the passenger side engine mount. I wanted to keep a cleaner look and don't like them mounted up high, not sure about the VT engine you may be able to leave the compressor in its original position.

Had some ute time today and found lots more bog. This photo is from passengers side behind the door. One big dent.

That's some thick bog you've found there!......Have you removed the inner panels in the ute tub and had a look?....Be interesting to see what's going on in there!

Yes I have removed the inner panels and I reckon you can get ok access to the dent. Don't see why you wouldn't have done that instead of using so much bog.

Yes, there is good open access to that area from below the tub floor.

Been a busy the last month haven't had any time for the poor old girl. So today I made some time and finished striping the rear passengers side quarter. Can I just say the last person that did the body work on the ute spent more money on bog then they would have buying a gold plated set of hammers and dollies.
