Look what landed in my shed today!

Post by thropzed »

Well after selling my last van to put my wagon on the road and buying a Nissan Cube as a replacement, I've found myself another Windowless Van! HeHa.
Now to start with a build plan. First thing is floors and sills. Then will be sourcing a proper sub frame as the van is fitted with a FE-FC sub frame. Then a disc front that hasn't been butchered and an EH rear. What do you think?

Was following it on eBay. Well done. Looks a better starting point than mine.

Looks can be deceiving.
At least yours has the correct sub frame.
But the body from the B pillar back is in great shape.
Will do next to no body work except blending in from the door bottoms.
Now to pick up some repair panels.

More lumps and bumps than a Vegas pole dancer but I guess thats the attraction of the old girls - looks like a great starting point.

How the hell did they get the guards on with an FE/C subframe ? Fabbed up some dodgy mounting brackets ? Where are the bonnet hinges ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Its all there, Sub frame is all that doesn't belong. The guards are tek screwed on. Has FB tag on firewall.
The condition of the rest is not too bad. Floors and sills have nearly all the rust. Back floors are good.
Will be replacing front end and sub frame, Rear end Motor and box. The rest can stay the way it is. I like the bumpy look! It has that still a working truck .
Tim Ill come to check out the sub frame. I'm chasing a HR disc front and an EH rear if anyone has these i'd be grateful. 202 motor will be up for sale soon.

It might be a little lumpy but so is your head so perfect match
I have a hr font end that you can have for a carton of beer if you want it is missing stub axels and calipers though as they are on the wagon

I'll come for a look Craig. Don't need stubs as I'll be using HT stubs but calipers might be a problem. Talk soon.

Moving it this week Tim.
Will be going over to my shed on the northside.
Haven't taken any more pics till I get the floor up and assess what else it needs.
Still after a subframe(Tim) plus a decent front end that I can work with. Not doing V6 or V8 so current front end is obselete.
