Got the new wheels from america - showwheels retro , and they look like absolute shit. Basically the hub and spokes are 2inches thick , which is alot of dish space wasted.

Put simply the wheels look too modern with no front space dish to suit the model. That aside the wheels would suit a commodore .....

So the next option are convo pros .... 15 x 8 3/4 rear with a 15x4 front. To get the rear sitting in the stance im after , it also looks like a 4-link rear will be going in, ease of lowering and tyre changes.

The 9inch thats in needs to come out to get an inch shaved each side to allow for the extra 3/4inch on the front space and still tuck under the guards sitting nice and low.

On a good front however ... no problems with the front extractors now having 15x4s !!! Will get some pics when possible.

Nice work on the cert Mick for the van mate.

The US wheels are still in the box ( 2 un-opened ), just thru a front and rear on to see it side on and it just wasnt right. Will throw em on e-bay and hopefully get enough cash to cover the second set of rims and tyres.

Had not seen the rodlites before but just ran a search , they are similar to the rally style wheel. I was looking at the new Centerline "Fuel" wheels .... but looking at the pictures they could appear a little hmmm Blingy? Pimpish? like a multispoke.

Heres a few pics with the convo pros, there is no diff in the rear but this is roughly the ride height im after in the back with a max of a 1inch lift if nessecary. Diff needs shaving etc as above post.

The front will be dropped , unfortunately it appears the drivers side guard has a kink in it ........ probably been like it for years as the paint is undamaged and the bumper bar wraps round the guard to suit ( think initial build of the car ). The drivers side inner guard rests on the rubber if dropped, where as the passengers side sits about half inch from the inner guard. Compared the guards with the panelvan and theres defintely a difference on the drivers side.

Always another hurdle it seems hahahaha ..... not to mention dust !!

Cheers for the feedback guys, greatly appreciated as its still a tug-o-war in the head for pro-stock or street/clean look.

Have decided on the pro-stock thou.

Unfortunately my PC has shit itself .... missus tells me lightning hit near the house and next thing I go to turn on the PC and nothing. Just glad the monitor didnt go also .... so much for surge protection. Rip the bastard apart and Im not getting power ......... must be the power supply , well $265 today for a new supply, re-slot it in and still screwed.

On the missus laptop atm and I hate this little keyboard and mouse pad touchie thing.

I hear ya about the wheels Mick they are getting popular. I tried something a little different and got burnt for $4k !!! I have purchased the convo pros already as I had the option to try em on before buying, there arent too many options when it comes to getting something 4inch wide up front and still having a design with a deep dish for the rear. Out of all the center-line types I like the convo pros most ( think its the ridges in the rear rims on the front space.

Good to see a couple others starting to like the red colour also !!!!

Convos look OK, but to much rubber on the rear, profile a little to high,. Unless you are going! after the pro-stock look, tuck those blackies deep into the wheel arches baby. 8) 8)
