New Front End - Castlemaine Rod Shop
Has anyone bought and fitted a Castlemaine Rod Shop new front end set up and if so, are you happy with it?

Re: New Front End - Castlemaine Rod Shop
I had one in an FC years ago. Not sure if they have changed much now but I didn't think it was any good. Front mounted rack with flipped over steering arms meant for opposite toe out on turns. Steering geometry was all wrong so the tyres scrubbed like crazy when turning. Useless.
Hopefully they have sorted it out these days.

i think he may mean the fabricated front ends
as for the old CRS HR fronts with rack fitted i've always heard bad stuff about them and from memory i had one years ago that i don't remember as being brilliant BUT i just recently had a HR van with one in it and it was great and wouldn't hesitate to use one again don't know why it was so good when you hear so many stories of them being bad

Once bitten , twice shy . I would go with a Rodtech or SCW front if it was me ....
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

V6 Conversions are also making a font end with rear mounted rack, some of the FE FC guys have used them and have had pretty good comments.
