Accelerator pedal assembly

Post by Harv »

I thought it would be an easy bolt up getting my triple Strombergs running, but of course Murphy intervened.

Can't get the manifold to fit without removing the old mechanical accelerator linkage from the firewall, so have to go to a cable set-up.

Can't get enough travel out of the remaining original accelerator linkages to drive the cable, so have to extend the linkages.

Went to pull my accelerator pedal out to extend it, and found that it has a helluva lot of slop in it (I kinda knew this before, but was pretending it would fix itself before the pedal fell off  ).

So.... what I am after please is the accelerator pedal from an FB/EK (the Masterparts catalogue says this is common all the way back to FX :o ). I need the pedal, the pivot bit that bolts to the firewall, and the little arm that pokes out through the firewall. This should all come out as one unit.

Happy to pay for the part and for postage.

Cheers,
Harv
