Front Bench seat U Brackets

Post by camstuart52 »

G'day

Just a quick question regarding the Front bench seat floor attachment U Brackets. My recent purchase doesn't have any and I have seen them listed on eBay. Is it worth buying them or just fabbing my own....don't seem to technical? Also the store selling them has seat spaces....are these required and what do they do?

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Easy enough to make unless they are selling for $10-20 , if it's that thieving earlybitz he is probably asking $150
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

The spacers allow adjustment of the seat angle, tilting the squab up at front and the back rest back slightly. Matter of personal preference, but I find seating position is improved. I have found them on several wrecks over the years. Made of whitish resin compound and easy enough to make some up out of something light weight and durable. You may require longer bolts and who knows how the rego authorities will look upon this.

Great info thanks

As far as I'm aware my last couple of FB/EK's haven't had them and it doesn't bother me to much...as long as they aren't a must have I'm happy.

Can anyone tell the thickness/gauge of the originals so I can make some up please?
