By the look of the ID Tag and the colour that remains on the car, it had been re-tagged.

Paint on Tag Seaforth Green - Colour on car ... maybe Barrier Coral.

Hi Guys.

I need some help.

I'm just completing a database on these colour combinations & I have a few gaps (as you would imagine).

With the early FB (nitro paint cars) I have combination numbers for all but 4 known paint schemes. I'm talking about the first 3 digits of the TRIM number on the body ID plate.

The ones that I am missing are:

Single tone:
Raphael Ivory
Fernando Yellow
Sandstone Beige

Two tone:
Arctic Beige (Insert) over Lucerne Blue

The other interesting thing that I've recently discovered is nitro paint FB Special wagons were only ever made in two tone. Single tone Special sedans were made (in a choice of 7 different colours) but not the wagon. Does anybody know of an early FB Special wagon that is not painted factory two tone, to disprove this ?

Thanks for getting back so quickly Tim.

Points 1 & 2 is where we agree, maybe somebody out there knows better.

Point 3: The combination number for the single tone paint scheme ignores whether it is a Special or a lesser model, it will be the same.

A single tone is a single tone !!

unlic -no brakes and some rust coming thru $800 so got my old man to come and have a look as he knew the owner, but my old man talked me out of it saying it was to much work to fix it ,30yrs later its now in the corner of my shed well and truly cherry picked and wearing a lovely shade of eighties metal flake .

How lucky was that !!

EKDV8's post featured several sets of body numbers & guess what ? The elusive Arctic Beige insert over Lucerne Blue was one of them (combo number 338).

Aren't these forums just great.

Hi again guys.

Since I had such good luck with my last enquiry, I thought that I'd give it another try.

I've now gone thru all known FB & EK paint combinations & I only have 3 further gaps to fill to complete both model series' lists.

These are as follows:

FB Single tone: Iris

FB Two-Tone: Apache Red with a Grecian White insert

EK Two-Tone: Cameo Beige with a Dusk Plum roof

Plus the 3 single tone early FB colours from my previous post:

Raphael Ivory
Fernando Yellow
Sandstone Beige

If anyone on the forum can help with combination numbers off the body ID plate for these colours it would be greatly appreciated.

Any strangely both my wagons have it. 0255 was a mistake

Hi Aussie Bob, good to hear from your, hope you are well.

I have those 2 plates listed. Both cars have a Cameo Beige roof. The first one (685) has a Dusk Plum body (the reverse of what I'm chasing). The second has Snowcrest White body.

The one I'm after (Dusk Plum roof over a Cameo Beige body) would be quite a rare combination, would it not?
