Its amazing how one thing leads to another.
A few weeks ago I went to a guys place to buy some parts for my alfa.
He had a yard full of dead cars. In the distance I spotted a funny looking alfa gtv.
I asked what the deal was with it and he said. " oh thats an old drag car". I bought it to rob the engine out of it.
Turns out it ran in the states in the late sixties powered by of all things a type 33 v8 alfa romeo racing engine.
The original builder was an alfa dealer and autodelta supplied the engine. It spun to 9500rpmand developed 440hp.
Somehow the car ended up here. The engine has gone back into a race car which is a shame but considering the cars are now almost two mill it was inevitable.
Im planning on running my maserati v8 in it complete with wikd metalflake paint.
Im going to name it mama mia or veltro (greyhound).
