I think this bloke in Ballina is IN with these other blokes(he gave me their numbers) and they believe that we will pay whatever, just to have the vehicles passed. :silent:
worst part it also makes people push the boundaries of legality (the actual cost of rego on what are generally not daily drivers doesn't help either), I know of people and a couple of "clubs" that have been set up for the sole purpose of being able to club rego cars, then there is the one I'm looking at and that is driving on permits as I won't be driving the Austin regularly and a guy that does pink slips has told me no engineers needed for permit all he has to do is check the car is safe to drive which means brakes work to a reasonable standard, brake lights, blinkers, the car isn't going to fall apart and only if the car is going to be driven in the dark headlights
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

Hi All,

New to the forum as I just bought the orange EK of ebay. I live in Adelaide so I had a mate from nearby look at it and for the money I though it was a good buy. I have had it shipped to Adelaide where it will be going for rego tomorrow. It's true that the car is not as good as the photos and there are some dodgy rust repairs in the floor but that means I get to personalise it and I am happy with the purchase. I call it a 5 Metre car as it looks great from that distance but up close it's a little bit rough around the edges. I look forward to reading through all the posts and technical info available here as well as checking out the SA FB-EK Club.

Cheers Chris

Hi Chris, happy motoring with the new ride, just drive and enjoy. So what if you have to spend money on it, you can't take it with you so spend it now on something you'll enjoy. :yeahhh:

Well, it finally passed the Engineers inspection today, had the brakes done at Brake point in Coffs Harbour. They know their business and fixed the problem straight away,
I got the shits with it after the first attempt and parked it in the shed for 4 months. Just got keen again and did something about it. Having blue slip done tomorrow and should be on the road Friday  will post more pics later. Oh, by the way, if anyone is after a chassis kit for an EK manual sedan, I have one for sale as I didn't need it with Ray Sargent(Engineer)
I haven't opened it yet and came from CRS. Cheers Graham

Thanks Jay, it's a pleasure to drive. Still ironing out some small bugs but will get there.
