Good work Trev, as for those wheels they should be a giveaway! Not a common rim choice.

When I look at it, I wish I wish I had just left it alone, it WAS a nice colour. Anyway those are the wheels, I think they are actually Cheviot brand, it's been too long now to remember.

Cheers
As far as breaking "rules" mixing FB and EK parts I say mix away, it looked pretty cool to me  .
Non mixing of parts is for restorers  .

Take it easy Trev. .

I'm sure my EK has been contaminated by using a sump plug out of an FB when mine got stripped.

How am I going to sleep at night

Hey at least with an FB plug you know it won't leak (as much) isn't that a point behind a custom making it better!

:)

Thanks Paul, appreciate the offer. I haven't gone through it 100% as yet, I've got a box of trim which should be FB stuff. Until I lie it all out and work out what goes where, I'm stuck as to what's missing. I can already tell that a lot of the little bits, such as windscreen trim joiners are missing, but those seem to come up regularly on Ebay. There are no clips to attach to bodywork, so I have got the thread from the forum that lists what I need and what goes where, that's a nightmare that I just have to work out. I can't even work out how those clips work, hopefully easier once I get some. I can't believe that I have (had) 4 perfect door handle scratch plates which are still there but the front left looks like they couldn't work out how to get it off and it has been attacked with pliers or something. It's twisted out of shape and the lugs have torn off. There are some butchers out there, and I met one. A lot of the other good stuff, like the heater box and controls I don't really need to get going, my HR Prem seats etc. I got a windscreen and the guards and other glass that have gone were spares, albeit the good ones, as I have had to put the old glass back which is all scratched from winding up and down and I have replaced the wheels now with some US mags. I've got an old bench seat also about to be recovered.

My first goal, going back to original post is sorting the exhaust out and then I can at least drive it without attracting unwanted attention. Canberra unfortunately appears to be limited to what can be done custom wise. I'm currently struggling to get fully back into it. I have good days and then days when it just makes me wonder about putting it up for sale and cutting my loss. I'd like to drive it for a little bit though.

great forum though, everyone very supportive - cheers..

Thanks, as soon as I get motivated again, I will give you a buzz. In the mean time, any exhaust contacts?

Hi eKay,
Sounds like you've had a pretty rough time!

Have you considered coming along to our next Club meeting?

It's on tomorrow night (10th April) at the "Raiders Club", Liardet St Weston, commencing at about 8pm.

You might be able to gain some info from some of the members

Cheers,

Graham
