hello all.just a quick question on electrical system (red motor). purple wire comes from under dash (ignition starter switch ?) and goes to shifter (neutral safety switch?) then to starter motor is this correct ?any help would be very appreciated

Sounds right , if in doubt, remove the battery and power it up using a cheap battery charger, that way if it is wrong , the battery charger wont have enough grunt to smoke up your wiring harness.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
