sedan & wagon bumpers

Post by mattymartin »

hey team,

are wagon & sedan bumper the same besides the two things that protrude... (maybe they are called overriders??? unsure)

anyway will this fit onto a wagon... there is a sedan one ebay at the moment & either ends look to be in reasonable condition...

my current ones are gooooooooone...

thanks

Yep it will bolt on in the original position as is but your gate will sit on the over riders when its open and will dent it .
You can change the over riders to wagon ones but you will be left with a hole on the lower edge of the bumper thats visable .
Hard to remember but I think you will also need to drill a hole to fit the wagon one ,and the only inconsistency from memmory is EK bumpers have over riders that reach down past the centre line of the bumper and FB ones only go to the half way line ,so without looking at the one on ebay if it is an FB bumper you may be able to put your over rider on and have no hole visable .
Hope that makes enough sense

What Harko said, FB's overiders are shorter and sit on the bars differently.

Oh well still looking for a rear bumber with over riders as one of mine has a rusted hole on the right side the size of a 20cent peice.

anyone know who has one please let me know....

I was bidding on a pile of FB bits some months back and got pipped by one measly little cent !!!

Not sure how that works given the Australian round up / down system, but it at least kept me off ebay for a month afterwards

Id say an FC rear bumper will bolt on , Will render the spare wheel door useless and Id say tailgate to bumper clearences would be a hurdle.
