I stand corrected Mick and I've amended my post.
I Have to admit I wasn't too interested in the EH to look that close. I'm far too interested in FB/EK's and at the time was drooling over the garage and the FB thinking what I could do with it. Being ex Army too I couldn't get enough of the old ex WW2 era GMC 6 wheel drive truck either!
Just paradise!!

We actually saw the tow truck from that RACV picking up a car from an accident outside of Beechworth. Wished I'd taken a photo of it. The thing was OLD

A few of us are heading back to Sydney between 6am and 8am
Work it out on travelmate to give you an idea when we will be there.... :ewink:

A huge thank you to the Vic club for the work they put in, once again we had a brilliant time.
Arrived home 5.30 (s.a. time) last night. Got caught in a massive downfall of rain about an hour from home, that made life a bit interesting as it turned really dark so being able to see and dodge wildlife was on the agenda as well. The rain lasted about 15k's then life was a bit easier.
Booked our room for next year.... (no time like the present... )

Left the Painters Island CP in Wang right on 08:00 - non stop to home in 2 hr 38 min in the highly modified silver EK wagon and 2 1/2 tonne caravan.

Sent accommodation booking request for Cowra and await reply.
Our enjoyment has awoken the inspiration fairy and work on my old bus will resume shortly...
Will leave the van home next year and run with the ordinarily modified turquoise/white EK sedan..

Thanks to the Vic club for yet another great nats - weather was picture perfect for the entire weekend.... with a white blessing each morning.... I hope we didn't damage the CP electricity meter with our demand on it for heating.... brrrrr, you lucky ones in motel rooms don't know what you missed!

frats,
Rosco

As others have said, a big thank you to the Vic club for putting on a top notch event . This was my first Nationals, and definitely won't be the last.

A most enjoyable weekend

You'de be more than welcome over here Goats...I went to NZ (South Island , Christchurch) in April this year and saw a few older Pommy & Yanky steel..but not one FB/EK.. :wtf: ..mind you, your country is breathtakingly beautiful! I gotta go back and see more next time.
Cowra is about 4(ish) hours West from Sydney airport (depending on traffic getting out of Sydney & suburbs!!)..it'd be worth the trip, if you can fit it in.
