Re: Dave Bootleger's SCC EH Van
Thanks pete.
Ive been working on this van since feb. Its been a massive project and in hindsite it probably wasnt worth doing.
Anyway ive been hunting a eh van for years and this one turned up.
It was just a bare rolling shell. The previuos owner pulled it all apart , started doing some work and then left it. Eventually parts got sold /lost and the project got abandoned.
Although pretty good rust wise the body had been through hell and frankly the rust repairs that had been done were pathetic so i cut all the patches out and redid them.
The good thing was i managed to get all the sydney county council conversion parts which consisted of the barn doors, wacky roof racks, the rear interior fit out, the sporlight and most importantly the id plate. It took three days of labour to remake the barn doors.. it would have been easier to start from scratch.
The car is almost ready to paint. Luckily i bought two donor car for nuts and bolts and stuff.
The car will be fully restored signwriting and all but running a hot red aunger hustlers or tasmans and on the ground.
D day is the all holden day

Re: Dave Bootleger's SCC EH Van
Yeah thommo. Ive always had a thing about bringing things back from the dead. Especially when everyone else says its too far gone.
Ive been looking for a lower tailgate for over twelve months.
You guys think its hard to get an ek one. Try getting one for an eh.
I didnt want a plastic one so this is my last resort.
Im really enjoying this build. I had an eh van over twenty years ago and regretted selling it.
Ive always thought it would be easy to replace.
I cant wait to see this one done.
Its funny because ill take something like this on and yet posting a pic is something that is doing my head in. Even pete cal sat with me the other day to nut it out and eventually gave up.
There must be a way to reduce the pic size on my galaxy three phone to post.

Yeah, I opened him a new photobucket account and all that and it still won't work
The easiest way I think Dave is to text them to yourself, then save the photo and post it. Texting shrinks it down, but then they don't look as big.
Or piss that fecking phone off and buy a proper computer
