After a Banjo Diff Centre with a 2.78 ratio.

Thanks,
Bec

Hope you've got something with some decent torque in front of those gears. It'll be an absolute pig to get moving otherwise!
I got a 3:36 centre from here http://harveywreckers.com.au/ many moons ago.
Or you could try http://www.dinkumautos.com.au/index.php bit closer as they're only in Moorabbin.

I know it will be slower through the gears but it revs it's guts out at high speeds...Devilrod wrote:Hope you've got something with some decent torque in front of those gears. It'll be an absolute pig to get moving otherwise!

I'd love to ditch the old grey and dump something bigger into it but there's the whole cost of Engineers!

3:36 would be a better option and a taller rear tyre. That way you'll still be able to manage driving in and around the city without melting the clutch!

Re: Banjo Diff Centre 2.78
Thanks guys!
Someone recommended that's what I go to, as I've mentioned before I really have no clue and still learning.
So any idea where I'd get either of those? Anyone got one lying around?

Try either of those wreckers I posted above. But you will also need to change the end of the tailshaft to suit as the yoke is different.

Like Tim said.............2.78 would be a thirsty pig, engine would be struggling to turn it the whole timeSunnyTim wrote:Egads I don't think it would even move with a 2.78 centre. If you were driving the Nullabor nonstop it might be worthwhile to keep the revs down. As DR said go a 3.36 at the lowest. A 3.55 would be the best change for a stock grey.
Tim

I'm running one in my EH roadster............BUT........that is with a 179 and Trimatic box, a bit more horsepower and a better box than the standard EK stuff

I have plenty of 3.55's here, but would cost a fortune to ship across the desert

Wow so much information! You guys are going to be a great help to me!
So looks like I should be going with a 3.55.
And I have to change the yoke on the tailshaft? Is that something that's easy to get? Through rarespares and the like or is it also something that is rare?

Looks about right.
I'm surprised it's that cheap, as this seller usually charges more than that for stuff like the black knob at the end of your indicator stalk
